| The Burning Crusade is over |
|

I am a bit lost for words here. It was very moving to see the last endboss in The Burning Crusade fall. Only 25 people fit on the screenshot and got the actual achievement, but so many others in this guild have worked hard and passionate to make all this possible. Their efforts are not forgotten and we will sure be back to Sunwell to get those that missed a chance their achievement later on. For now though, the journey through Outland and the new parts of Azeroth has ended. Right on time to embark on a new adventure this Thursday and set sails for Northrend, where our next journey will take place. May it be ever so successful as the one we have just completed.

| So we finally reached it, the last battle in Sunwell is upon us... |
|
The last boss before Kil'Jaeden is down. An add control fight plus DPS race, which must have been hell pre-nerf. With the new patch we were able to nail the tactics down after a few tries and succeeded eventually after a very short learning period. Due to the very good performance of the guild and outstanding signup rates, we might be able to settle the score with Kil'jaeden before we enter Northrend.

Let's get the wanna-be master of the Burning Legion and show him that his Crusade is over.

P.S.: The blue shiny bubble in the background is the corpse of Entropius. No, really...

Despite the fact that it is rumored to be the easiest fight in Sunwell the positioning and pulling has to be spot on or you will wipe in very short time. The one thing we got out of this fight apart from a wheelbarrow full of loot is the fact that safety rails should be installed at all balconies above raid bosses.

Once again thanks to everyone in the guild for the tireless effort. We are heading for Kil'Jaeden pre-expansion. Let's see those sign-ups.

Another interesting fight in Sunwell, which is very much
a test of individual awareness, the healer camp (is any fight no healer
test?) and the raid leaders/breath announcers. The last has earned
Superbeard a special mention for his nice calls on the breath attacks.
Kudos to all who still wanna see more of Sunwell before the expansion
hits us. The next part surely looks challenging. Bring on the twins!

| Another day! Another glorious battle! |
|
After the much discussed nerf-bat hit all instances, Brutallus seemed much less of a challege or achievement than before. Having had only a few tries on him pre-patch but still clocking in at around 50% of his HP, we weren't doing all that bad. Tonight he fell to our feet.

Nerf or not, it is another part of the game conquered and more too see beyond. Now let's get us a piece of Felmyst!

At some points during the learning process, you might feel along with the Human form of Kalecgos, as the healing intensity is bordering the insane. All the more cheers we heard, when we reached the enrage marker at 11%. We called the burn and made the last stand needed to conquer the encounter. To all the believers that kept the morale high, to all the doubtful that have only fueled the effort of those that wanted to prove we can do it and to all the rest: A big thank you!

It is great to see the guild effort rewarded once more. Keep up the good work.

He got that one right, i for one was not prepared for this! When we took him on this time, it was the second night we saw phase 4 and actually the first time the MT survived the first phase 3. With only 8 healers we opened a can of whoop ass on him. The fight is very intense and feels like the right tactical execution matters most of all. No real random bullshit like on Archimonde.

Kudos to the entire guild for fueling our raid efforts with steadfast dedication and time consuming preparations. Which of course includes farming the cool hats for the killshot.
Well done Docet Umbra!

What an endurance fight! We came to conquer the Bloodelf cronies of Illidan and so we did. The encounter lasts what feels like half an hour and in fact we were in combat for about slightly over 10 minutes, when the Illidari Council fell to our valiant efforts. The endurance shown in conquering this set of bosses nicely reflects the overall effort of the guild at the moment. It feels good to see that every raiding member of the guild is trying to put in as much as possible. Well done, everyone. Now we just have to do this bitch of a fight every week and conquer the blind, half-elf mongrel to clear the highest available instance in Outland. Are you prepared to face Docet Umbra, Illidan?
And now for the obigatory "posing in front of skull-obsessed Illidan"-screenshot:

Uhm, well, getting the resistance-gear is indeed the hardest part of this fight. Especially when the guildbank is hacked by some...
Anyway, we ended up one-shotting her after the break that was forced on us. Granted, it was a messy kill with a near 1%-wipe ... but a kill nonetheless.

Illidari Council next!

I'm not sure whether I'm scared because of what's happening or just frustrated because my comments about unexpected firstkills grew old in just four days.
The night started off with a delayed raid-kickoff due to several issues related to hardware and software. By the time those were fixed, we were faced with disconnects. We ended up pulling trash (yay, suppression rooms are back) at around 21.00 -- thinking we'd tackle the boss once or twice and call it a night.
Well, things turned out differently. At around 00.30 we made a mess:

Reliquary of Souls goes bye bye.
This was one bloody impressive raid-week. Seeing as we still need to farm some resistance-gear we probably won't see another firstkill next week. Then again, who knows... Anyway, we will be back.
